Delete
F8, Shift+F8

This command allows you to delete file(s) and directories.
There are three ways you can use this command:

. You can delete the file or directory under the cursor
bar in a file panel, or the directory under the cursor
        in a tree panel.

. You can delete a group of files or directories that
you've marked with the Ins key or Select group
        and Unselect group.

. Advanced users: You can type in the name of the file
or directory to delete (or a group of files or
directories if you use DOS wildcard characters).
Press Shift + F8 or hold down Shift when you
select Delete from the Files menu. Be careful,
though, as you can delete a lot of files when you use the
        DOS * wildcard character.

   Read-only files:
If a file is marked as read-only, you'll be asked for
confirmation before the Commander deletes. Hint: if
you want to delete a group of files that are marked
read-only, used the File attributes command in the
Files menu to clear the read-only attribute.

   Directories:
With Norton Commander you can now delete entire
directory trees including all its files and
sub-directories. This is a very powerful feature.
When deleting directories tick include subdirectories
and the entire tree will be deleted.

Note: This command updates the treeinfo.ncd file when you
          delete a directory.
